For the second time in a row LOT Polish Airlines has won the title of the Best Traditional Airline in the annual poll conducted by the Pasażer.com website. Visitors to the website Pasażer.com website voted in three categories: the best traditional airline, the best low-cost airline and the best business class.
LOT Polish Airlines has won recognition among passengers in the “Best Traditional Airline in 2007” category receiving 31% of votes. Lufthansa came second with 21% of votes.
“This award is particularly valuable to us as it comes from passengers who are the best positioned to assess services offered by an airline. Another reason why this award is a great honour to us is that last year we carried almost 600,000 passengers more than in 2006,” said Wojciech Kądziołka, a spokesman for LOT Polish Airlines.
LOT has also been ranked high in the Best Business Class category in which it won the third place trailing only slightly behind Lufthansa and British Airways.
„We are happy to see the appreciation for our business class service. On the routes characterized by the highest business class traffic, we provide passengers with a wide range of flexible travel opportunities and a high level of comfort. Business class seats in our Embraer 175 aircraft are equipped with laptop ports. We operate several flights a day to the major European business cities with departure and return on the same day. We also offer online check-in for all flights departing from Polish airports which considerably reduces the waiting time for passengers during busy periods,” – added Mr Kądziołka
Last year LOT was also named the Best Traditional Airline and picked up an award for its business class services.
