SkyEurope transported a total of 279,816 passengers in April 2008 with a load factor of 70.7% due to a 9.4% increase in seat capacity versus April 2007 and a focus on continuous yield growth. The increase in seat capacity has been accomplished by better utilising the new larger 737-700NG aircraft.
“In April SkyEurope launched its new winter time for sale and delivered 15th brand new Boeing 737-700 NG to its fleet to follow positive development strategy proven by 20% increase of number of passengers transported in first four month of 2008 compared to the same time period of last year,” said Jason Bitter, CEO of SkyEurope.
In the 12 months ended April 2008, the Company carried 3,698,879 passengers, an increase of 22.0% compared to the same period of last year. The load factor in the past 12 months decreased by 3.2 percentage points and reached 75.3%.
