SkyEurope transported a total of 307,540 passengers in March 2008, an increase of 16.2% compared to the same month of last year. SkyEurope recorded a load factor of 73.6% due to a 38.6% increase in seat capacity versus March 2007 and a focus on continuous yield growth. The increase in seat capacity has been accomplished by better utilising the new larger 737-700NG aircraft.
Last month has been the best March in the history of SkyEurope in terms of number of passengers transported,” said Jason Bitter, CEO of SkyEurope.
In the 12 months ended March 2008, the Company carried 3,712,751 passengers, an increase of 26.3% compared to the same period of last year. The load factor in the past 12 months decreased by 1.7 percentage points and reached 76.1%.
