WHAT IS AN ETIX?
An etix or e-ticket is an electronic ticket that you can't lose.
You can print it anytime and anywhere from the Internet.
WHY THE DUE DATE ON MY INVOICE IS IDENTICAL WITH THE
RESERVATION DATE?
The reason behind is that tickets for certain special fares can
only be issued on the same day as the reservation has been made;
the price would otherwise forfeit. Therefore, the form of invoice
is identical for all cases.
WHAT IS A PRICE GUARANTEE?
A price guarantee is the date specified by the airline according
to the tariff type the price is booked for. The pelikan.sk call
centre agent cannot change the date manually. The ticket must be
paid and issued until that date, otherwise the price will forfeit
and the system will automatically cancel the reservation.
HOW MANY AIRLINES CAN BE BOOKED THROUGH
PELIKAN.SK?
Through pelikan.sk you can reserve tickets for all airlines -
members of IATA (International Air Transport Association) and
non-members of IATA, such as Air Berlin. You will find offers and
flights operated by more than 800 important airlines.
CAN THE NAME IN A TICKET RESERVATION BE
CHANGED?
No, it is not possible. There are only two air carriers that
allow such a change for a certain charge - Air Lingus and
Scandinavian Airlines. Low-cost air carriers also allow changes to
the name on tickets already booked and issued for charge. Names can
only be changed in group reservations until the tickets are
issued.
CAN I FIND UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION ABOUT TICKET FARES AND
AVAILABLE SEATS IN AIRCRAFTS THROUGH PELIKAN.SK?
Pelikan.sk is linked to the worldwide central reservation system
Galileo, which means that pelikan.sk always disposes of up-to-date
information about ticket fares, available seats or occupied
seats.
CAN I COME TO PELIKAN.SK, PAY FOR MY TICKET IN CASH AND
PICK IT UP IN PERSON?
Pelikan.sk operates as a call centre to which, unfortunately,
you cannot come in person. The call centre agents do not dispose of
a cash-box for accepting cash, thus it is not possible to come and
pay for the tickets cash or pick up the tickets in person.

I PAY FOR THE FLIGHT TICKET WITH CREDIT
CARD?
Only embossed credit card are accepted for this payment.Not all
airlines companies and all fare basis can be paid by credit
card.There are two transaction for credit card payment.The price of
ticket,taxes and PTA fee - directly taken by airline.The fee for
issuing the ticket,special delivery service - separate transaction
via bank.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR TICKETS BOOKED THROUGH
PELIKAN.SK?
Tickets reserved through pelikan.sk can be
paid in several ways:
a) by credit card;
b) by cash deposit or transfer to one of our accounts;
Pelikan.sk keeps accounts in the following banks: Slovenská
sporiteľňa, VÚB, Tatrabanka. Tickets can paid to any of these
accounts.
HOW TO FIND THE BEST YOUTH PRICE?
You should search a youth ticket separately, without other
passenger categories. You can search several youth tickets at a
time.
WHO IS A STUDENT/YOUTH?
A full-time student or youth up to 25 years. Certain air
carriers consider as youth only people up to 24 years or students
up to 27 years. All youth tariffs will be automatically confirmed
by e-mail or phone by a call-centre agent.
HOW TO FIND THE BEST FARE POSSIBLE?
Try to compare the ticket fares for departures from Vienna and
for those from Bratislava.
WHAT KIND OF BAGGAGE MAY I TAKE?
From 01 November 2005, the baggage allowance that you are
permitted to carry free of charge is 2 x 23 kg per person to US,
Canada and Mexico, and 20 kg per person to all other destination.
You can also take carry-on baggage of max. 8 kg per person. These
conditions do not apply to low-cost air carriers.
Infants travelling without entitlement to a seat are only allowed
to take carry-on baggage. For information on the baggage allowance
for infants travelling to US, Canada and Mexico, please, contact
your agent. Passengers travelling in business class and first class
are entitled to larger baggage allowance.
CAN I RESERVE A MEAL?
It is not possible to directly reserve a meal, it can be only
requested, as far as not airlines provide all meal types. The
request for the selected meal will be sent to the airline; the
acceptation or rejection of the meal may be checked at the web site
www.pelicantravel.com by
entering the booking code into the "Reservation" box and the
Client's or the passenger's last name into the "Last Name" box.
ARE OPEN TICKETS CHEAPER?
No, they are not. There is a general rule that open tickets are
always much more expensive than tickets with a closed return date
which can be changed for a certain charge. It is therefore worth to
buy a closed return ticket, which is cheaper even in case a fee for
change is charged. Special prices for youth and students are an
exception: the prices for open youth tickets are reasonable.
CAN I RESERVE AN OPEN TICKET?
Unfortunately, the system does not allow reserving open tickets.

WHAT IS AN OPEN TICKET?
For an open return ticket it is not necessary to specify the
return date, it can be left open. An open return ticket means that
you can return anytime during the ticket validity. Free seats are,
however, not guaranteed for the selected flight and you might not
be automatically transported. In case of open tickets we recommend
you to book your return flight as soon as possible.
WHICH ITEMS IN A TICKET MAY BE CHANGED?
Each ticket is subject to the given air carrier's conditions.
The conditions depend on a particular ticket. Usually, the
best-price tickets may not be changed or cancelled after purchased.
However, the departure date and time may be changed in general. For
